From our humble beginnings appraising and buying antiques in the 1950s to assisting claimants against British-Petrolum during the 2010 Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill, we have spent over 60 years in business that benefits people.

While we have operated under a variety of names in this decades, Libertalia is a third-generation, family-owned firm that has operated in dozens of industries ranging from antiquities, crisis management, data recovery, financial management, international investigation, business liquidation, marketing, paralegal work, political consulting, precious metal brokerage, publishing, sales, software development, and stock brokerage, among others.

Antiquities

Our earliest work started in the bustling antiquities market within the United States in the 1950s. With the American Civil War less than 100 years prior the ancestral homes of many civil war era industrial business men still existed in the Northeast providing a steady stream of unique antiquities for market. We providing valuable cashflow to many individuals through appraising and liquidating antiques they were unaware they owned.

Insurance

The 1960s ushered in a boom in the insurance industry and provided the opportunity for us to expand operations building an insurance brokerage firm in Pennsylvania that employed dozens within the Philadelphia area. We provided the financial security in the form of insurance policies to thousands of local residents.

Securities

The 1970s saw the rise of the Wild West in the securities industry as it moved faster than regulatory bodies could match. This opened the door for us to expand into stock brokerage and become securities underwriters.

Bullion

However, the rise of bullion prices in the mid-70s led us to shift from securities to precious metal distribution. Within a few years, our company was selling silver bullion direct-to-consumers  boasting thousands of customers nationwide.

Salvage

Following the Hunt Brother’s infamous “Silver Thursday” in 1980 we transitioned and relocated operations to the Southeast where we began assisting treasure hunters in Florida, acting as brokers facilitating the sale and distribution of treasure recovered from salvaging operations.

Antiquities

In the 1990s, we began offering several services including antiquity valuations, estate appraisals, and wholesale purchasing, which necessitated opening a large sales-floor for our growing inventory. With operations in the Southeast strengthening we expanded beyond antiquities into fine jewelry and china, marketing premiere merchandise to a predominantly high end clientele. Despite our growth we still made house calls to anyone who requested them, no matter how large or little the value of their estate.

Paralegal

2010 was marked with one of the greatest disasters in the Gulf of Mexico, the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill. During this time we were the only non-attorney firm to work with the court appointment settlement filing claims on behalf of both multi-million dollar companies and small mom-and-pop businesses seeking compensation from the settlement for economic damages caused by the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill.

Concierge

Near the end of the decade, our we began offering concierge services and have worked with clientele in North America, Europe, and the South Pacific.  One of our first clients was a clean water initiative based out of California, working to bring clean water stability to small island nations in the South Pacific. Cybersecurity

Our cybersecurity services launched around the same time in the mid-2010s. Since then we have working with organizations around the world providing cyber-defense services against malicious hackers saving the personal information of hundreds of thousands of people! Read those success stories!
